Messy |
That mess got me thinking about staying organized--even just a little bit. So I tidied up (Let me reassure you its a rare event, but the cleaning bug does occasionally hit when I least expect it). So now my knitting table looks acceptable. At least there's room for a drink (should someone need to imbibe in the occasional alcoholic beverage).
Not-So Messy |
After all that tidying up, guess what I found? My knittin' mojo (Who knew it'd be buried under all that stuff?). Don't know how long it'll last, but I'm gonna take advantage and finish up as much as I can. There's a vest that needs finishing and I just started a blanket for charity. And maybe I can cast on for that second pair of worsted socks (they can be my lunch-time knitting). I also have another project simmering in my brain (that involves my couch) . . . lots to do and think about.
For now, back to my knitting. Have a great weekend :)
oh how i love those yummy socks!
ReplyDeleteand i wish i would be struck by your tidying bug -- i've got stuff in quite a mess around here, and it's not just knitting stuff!
Good job on the cleanup. You could take it one step further and "contain" those categories. A small basket for the CD's and player, a pretty mug or bowl for the writing instruments and a tray or low basket for the needles.
ReplyDeleteSorry, couldn't resist, I'm a professional organizer, what can I say?
LOL Knitinsage, I don't wanna mislead, but I'm not exactly very tidy. Only my knitting table is tidy at the moment. :)
ReplyDeleteOh good suggestions Simple Effects! I like the idea of a mug or small container for the pens and pencils (as long as my boys don't "borrow" them). And maybe I can look 'round for a basket for the CDs (bet I've already got something in the house). My needles just need to go back in my storage tower. Thanks again for the suggestions :)
