Fastest One Ever

And I mean it!  One week for an adult sized sock is just short of miracle speed for me.  Regular sock yarn takes me anywhere from a month or more--and that's with me working at it all the time.

Finished Sock
And I must say that I am sooo lovin' the orange toes--totally unplanned!  Hmmmm, wonder if I can get the second one to match?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: this is only one sock.  It's mate?  Well I've yet to cast on for the second one. Let's see how long it takes to finish sock number two.  At the very least, worsted weight is lookin' like a mighty fine option for when I'm feelin' the sock love ;)

  1. I'm looking forward to seeing if you will be able to get the second to match. Great colors!

  2. Worsted socks make me happy! So quick; mine are 40 sts around. I have shoes a half size bigger for my dk and worsted socks. Woot!

  3. I've been thinking about tackling knitting socks again...never knew you could make them out of something other than sock yarn LOL!
Love yours! I really like the yarn too!
Where did you end up buying it?

  4. Thanks everyone for the kind comments :) And I know the socks will fit in my shoes 'cuz I'm the chickie wearing 2 pairs of socks (Yeah, I know. But my toes get so cold in the winter)

  5. Suki-Girl, I bought the yarn at one of the local shops. Its Bernat Junior Jacuqards which has been discontinued (Floral Jacquards and Baby Jacquards are very similar).

  6. Thanks for the info on the yarn...I'll check to see if my go-to shop carries the alternatives. Otherwise I'll substitute something else.
