Not Feeling Well . . .
This is the best I can do this week . . .
Feeling under the weather this weekend (there's been a couple of bugs circulating at work and one of them finally got to me). Back soon to update when I'm feeling better.

What? No Knitting?
![]() |
No Time? |
Other than the finished amigurumi from earlier this week, there's been little knitting this week. To be fair, I did finish one sock (only heaven knows when its mate will be cast on). A sleeve on my beloved--albeit much neglected--Bohus Redux saw some action (its hard slogging through it now). And necessity required that I start a small project too . . . . And I would have photographed it all and blogged properly 'bout it except for one small problem: I'm sick. :(
Everyone in the house is on the mend, so now its my turn to sniffle and sneeze (I'm really quite the sight with my red and raw nose, bundled in my jammies, surrounded by used tissue and an empty Kleenex box--not pretty. Not one bit).
So please forgive me if I'm less than enthused 'bout the post, the blog and craftiness in general. See you on the other side.

The Good Things
What are the good things in life? What's the secret to happiness? The love of a good partner, happy & healthy children, caring and supportive family and friends . . . the rest will take care of itself.
Nothing like a health scare requiring a trip to the emergency room to sharpen one's senses and to put things into perspective. Rest assured that all went well and we're on the road to recovery. If you've ever had to spend time in outpatients/emergency, the sounds of pained cries and sobs can be disheartening.
Hope you are enjoying the holidays with your loved ones. Give them an extra hug and let them know how much you love them.

Ugh
It's been one of those weeks--ya know the kind where not much gets done? Now my body feels yucky. My head is stuffed. Even my face hurts. Hope its not the start of a sinus infection (haven't had one of those in years). Anyone want a used cold?
First the kids came down with a generic cough and cold, followed by a fever--thankfully that was brief. Then I succumbed to the super-kid germs and now hubby has too. I managed to get through the work week without taking a sick day (not that I have sick days, per se. If I'm off, I lose a day's pay). But my energy levels have been dangerously low all week. Suffice to say that there has been little crafting at casa d'acrylic-girl.
To comfort me, I've got loads of herbal tea, tissues galore, good ol' Vicks Vapour Rub and Tylenol . And I haven't forgotten the requisite chicken soup. And lots and lots of water.
Catch ya later when I'm feelin' better. Right now I need a nap.
